Before they were the Yellow Jackets, Georgia Tech’s football players were known as the Golden Tornadoes. The nickname was in use from 1915 until around the 1930s saw some incredible seasons, such as  the 1917 team that went 9-0 and claimed Tech’s first national title or when they brought home the victory again in 1928.
